Description

As a IT Delivery Product Lead, you are a key member of a DevOps team delivering IT products to the most innovative scientists in agriculture.  You are not limited to your title but love to roll up your sleeves and play whatever part your team needs to succeed.  You are the doing the solution design, setting the technical direction and guiding the rest of the technical team.  You will be keeping up with technology trends, experimenting, and making sure the development processes of the team are continually improving.  Most importantly, you love to learn about the cool science going on in Syngenta every day – from trait discovery to crop modeling to in silico predictive breeding.

Multiple position openings available; this position has the flexibility of working at other Syngenta locations. Remote options may also be available. 

What will you do?

Lead software development activities within a DevOps team working towards the delivery of software that enables business capabilities Develop and implement architecture and design for different bespoke software in a given functional domain within R&D IT according to general architectural guidelines Ensure delivered capabilities continually add value to R&D customers that will, in turn, drive business value for Syngenta Investigate new technology and assess their fit for purpose given business requirements and architectural guidelines Lead a team of developers in development of software solutions in accordance with agreed solution designs. Establish code review processes.  Mentor and coach junior team members and maintain high team morale

10+ years of similar roles implementing software solutions Experience with headless and serverless applications, microservices and AWS technologies Plenty of experience in a DevOps environment with CI/CD tools and process A “T-Shaped” profile – deep expertise in one or more technical areas with broad exposure to other technical areas
