About this opportunity:

  • Provide support to the Plant Maintenance Manager in the effective and efficient delivery of planned, scheduled, and reactive work.
  • By providing reactive maintenance support across all engineering disciplines to meet production demands, through fault finding and diagnosis of failure.
  • Delivery of planned routine preventative maintenance (RPM) activities to improve plant availability.
  • Identification of plant equipment reliability issues, analyse CMMS (SAP) and production data in order to understand improvement options, implement solutions and carry out reviews usually within core trade.
  • Task manage a small core maintenance team and contract support functions during normal operations.
  • Task management and holistic coordination of a larger contract team during annual plant turnarounds.

 

Please see below an outline of the position:

  • Support Maintenance Manager and provide cover during short periods of absence.
  • Ensure work standards are maintained for all engineering work.
  • Leading task coordination with teams of plant technicians, resident, and non-resident contractors.
  • Co-ordinating all elements of engineering activities, efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to Syngenta safe systems of work.
  • Ensuring that CMMS workflow management is adhered to.
  • Carry out "Appointed Persons" (AP) for lifting operations.
  • Ownership of low level 'change management'.
  • Upkeep of engineering documents associated with the role.

 

Qualifications
Experience & qualifications:

  • Have a good working knowledge of HS&E procedures (Attained NEBOSH certificate).
  • Fault finding and diagnosis techniques.
  • Sound technical knowledge based on a recognised engineering training scheme and attained NVQ level III or equivalent.
