Job Description


New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere. 
 

The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Lead are formulating and lead marketing strategy and initiatives for the MAH Aqua North America Team.  This includes working with and collaborating with the Leadership, Sales and Global Marketing teams to ensure the four brands of MAH Aqua North America are represented and assist us in driving towards sales and revenue goals.  This position requires a strong understanding of organizing and leading marketing campaigns and overall marketing plans.
 

Key Competencies:

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage overall marketing strategy for MAH Aqua North America in consultation with the Aqua North America Commercial Lead, Regional BUD Aqua Lead, and Global Marketing
  • Lead marketing initiatives for the organization, while working with Global Marketing to implement marketing plans by brand or new product introduction for North America Market
  • Current Products/Brands Include:  Biomark, Vaki & AGO, Biopharma
  • Oversee the marketing committee, comprised of the Conservation Team Lead, Fisheries and Aquaculture Team Lead and other Key Account Managers from MAH Aqua North America, to identify marketing initiatives that support sales goals across brands.
  • Implement marketing initiatives, track ROI, and present results on a quarterly basis from website, Google Ad Word Campaigns, social media platforms and other print and digital campaigns. Revisiting upcoming quarter initiatives with marketing committee to ensure plans are still relevant.
  • Clearly communicate marketing initiatives to MAH Aqua North America Conservation, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Professional Services and After Sales Support Teams.
  • Lead relationships with key service providers, agencies, etc. as relating to marketing tasks 
  • Participate in, assist with coordination, and support sales team's activity at tradeshows, conferences, sales tours, customer visits & workshops 
  • Oversee and build budget forecasts for tradeshow, conference, workshop, sales travel, advertising, and promotional materials with collaboration from Commercial Lead and other Aqua teams
  • Manage and maintain the North America Aqua marketing budget to ensure it supports projected sales travel, advertising, promotional materials, and other operational costs
  • Maintain Biomark website, social media channels, Google Analytics and AdWords campaigns, and collaborate on content for our company's Animal Health USA aqua species website.
  • Oversee marketing committee to generate ideas for social media posts by quarter, then schedule across MAH Aqua North America and brand related Social Media platforms, then track results to communicate in quarterly update
  • Champion new and innovative ways of working that embrace new technologies and business efficiencies to optimize marketing capabilities and MAH Aqua species brand exposure 
  • Remain abreast of marketing trends and innovations to maximize innovative brand messaging techniques. 
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing and Communications to be aware of new product introductions & updates and localize global materials for North America to share via paid ads, social media, and on Biomark.com 
  • Create and review promotional material, and comply with all marketing approval processes, and legal, statutory, and corporate requirements using Veeva Promomats. 
  • Manage agency projects, budget, and deliverables
     

Scope & Context:

  • This position is an individual contributor role.  It is critical that the Marketing Lead position demonstrates the leadership ability to foster collaborative relationships and build a partnership with other internal stakeholders and teams.
     

Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Marketing or related
     

Required Experience & Skills

  • Possess a can-do approach with a genuine desire to work with others in achieving desired outcomes 
  • Experience in supporting the building and implementation of marketing/brand initiatives and delivering campaigns in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience utilizing different communication platforms across multiple channels, including digital and social
  • Understanding of how to use data to develop and track ROI on marketing campaigns and willingness to expand on those skills 
  • Ability to manage marketing initiatives from concept to implementation in collaboration with Sales teams
  • Personal resilience and ability to thrive and remain motivated through periods of change 
  • Drive to succeed with a passion for marketing and delivering innovative and impactful campaigns in a timely manner
  • Computing skills: Microsoft 365 Office Programs
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

    Preferred Experience & Skills
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience or relevant field highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate in cross functional teams
  • Ability to support sales teams in terms of marketing materials and campaigns
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Fisheries/Wildlife Conservation and Aquaculture industries
  • Basic skill in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, experience managing WordPress themes, as well as social media scheduling platforms like Loomly
