Description

A Software Engineer (SE) is a scrum team member responsible for translating business requirements and features into application code.  They primarily engineer software and may do some small solution design with oversight from others.

Responsibilities:

• Be a productive Scrum team member and participate in typical SCRUM ceremonies
• Collaborate well with other software engineers, business process experts, QAs, delivery leads, product owners, and other relevant stakeholders
• Create clear and maintainable code
• Develop data and business driven applications using tools such as SQL Server and no-SQL DBs 
• Develop JavaScript based front end web applications with frameworks and tools like Angular and Typescript
• Ability to develop RESTful APIs and microservice based applications in languages such as C# and Python
• Have cloud computing experience such as Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Develop secure applications with authentication, role-based access controls, and secure development techniques 
• Ability to understand and possibly manage build processes in a CI/CD based team 
• Possess source code management skills using tools like Azure DevOps 
• Ability to understand and apply various software development frameworks and utilities to business problems
• Possess a familiarity with infrastructure as code, automation, monitoring, and the DevOps mindset
• Write test driven code and be able to write unit and integration tests

Experience and Education Requirements

• 3+ years .Net Core/C# and JavaScript based front end web applications with frameworks and tools like Angular preferred
• SQL Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• GIS experience, a plus
• Familiar with agriculture and ag business processes, a plus
