Description

A Software Engineer (SE) is a scrum team member responsible for translating business requirements and features into application code.  They primarily engineer software and may do some small solution design with oversight from others.

Responsibilities

• Be a productive Scrum team member and participate in typical SCUM ceremonies
• Collaborate well with other software engineers, business process experts, QAs, delivery leads, product owners, and other relevant stakeholders
• Create clear and maintainable code
• Develop data and business driven applications using tools such as SQL Server and no-SQL DBs.  Experience writing and tuning SQL scripts and SQL Stored Procedures.
• Experience in .NET Core/C#.
• Develop JavaScript based front end web applications with frameworks and tools like Angular and Blazor
• Ability to develop RESTful APIs and microservice based applications in languages such as C# and Python
• Have cloud computing experience such as Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Develop secure applications with authentication, role-based access controls, and secure development techniques
• Ability to understand and possibly manage build processes in a CICD based team
• Possess source code management skills using tools like Azure DevOps
• Ability to understand and apply various software development frameworks and utilities to business problems
• Possess a familiarity with infrastructure as code, automation, monitoring, and the DevOps mindset
• Possibly have geospatial software engineering skills to work with geography-based data, libraries, API’s
• Write test driven code and be able to write unit and integration tests

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server and no-SQL DBs with experience writing and tuning SQL scripts and SQL Stored Procedures
• 3-5 years of .NET Core/C#. and JavaScript based front end web applications with frameworks and tools like Angular and Blazor
• Ability to develop RESTful APIs and microservice based applications in languages such as C# and Python
• English proficiency
