Site Lead- Soda Springs 

Bayer is a leading global provider of technology-based solutions and agricultural products that improve farm productivity and food quality. Our Soda Springs, Idaho plant, is the only elemental phosphorus plant in the western hemisphere where it has been in continuous operation since 1952.

The Site Leader manages a phosphate mine, silica quarry, and major P4 processing facility in Soda Springs, Idaho, as well as a Calciner site in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Responsible for production operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, quality control, scheduling, accounting, and personnel. Individual will be required to promote positive relations with community, government agencies and customers. This position typically oversees approximately 700 company and contract employees.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the process and equipment for the P4 manufacturing process. (Including all disciplines.);
• Oversight of electricity negotiations;
• Responsible for ESH compliance requirements relevant to this position to ensure personal safety and the protection of the environment;
• Protect the health, safety, and welfare of Bayer employees, contractors, the community, and the environment through commitment to safety and environmental responsibility;
• Support others through open communication, feedback, and sharing knowledge;
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company requirements;
• Foster and influence success ,through strong relationship & networking skills, across a broad array of business decisions.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master s degree in an Engineering or related degree
• 8 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Ability to understand mining and mine permitting processes;
• Possess highly developed leadership, people management talent, and interpersonal, results oriented;
• Strong Knowledge of environmental requirements;
• Demonstrated ability to lead others and obtain targeted outcomes;
• Executive presence & excellent conflict resolution skills Technical Acumen.
