Vegetable Seed Processing Employment Seneca Foods Corporation in Nampa, ID is seeking Full-time and Seasonal production workers for the 2022/23 seedprocessing season.
Seed harvest receiving July - October. Conditioning July - January. Packaging August - April.
Seneca provides safe working conditions,paid overtime over 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, and on-the-job training.
Available positions include: Shipping/Receiving Clerk: starting wages up to $21.50/hr
Job duties include: Fulfill various positions in our seed production facility processing vegetable seeds. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety policies/procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for all open positions include but are not limited to: Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Strong work ethic. Regular Attendance
Qualifications / Requirements High School Diploma (GED) Familiarity with Manufacturing, Crop Science or Agriculture Operations is desirable. 2 + years experience and/or knowledge in: Import, Export, Trade & Compliance, Shipping, Logistics, or Transportation; SAP Experience, preferred
Knowledge on export trade of operations preferred
Knowledge of USDA regulations pertaining to seed exports, Phytosanitary Certificates, Certificates of Origin preferred
Knowledge of Seed diseases for the US and foreign countries preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and strong computer skills,
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).
Demonstrated strong attention to detail
Ability to be flexible, multi task, prioritize work, and follow work instructions
Ability to work with limited supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed and work alternate shifts depending on business needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Agility skills, which includes but is not limited to, ability to adapt quickly to changes or new opportunities and demonstrate a high level of comfort with ambiguity
