Job Description

 

Attention NJ Applicants: In April 2020, our Company announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ by 2023. Therefore, the NJ work location for this role will be temporarily based and the exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.

 

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. This position offers flexibility to work remotely, however it is preferred for the individual be local to the site.

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and customer success-focused WordPress websites architect to join our Digital Marketing Solutions team. As a Senior WordPress Technical Lead, you will be the "trusted technical advisor" to the customer and align our products, services, and customizations to support our WordPress VIP platform.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with our product and engineering organization to enhance our platform
  • Outline architectural best practices for our platform
  • Documentation and Coding Standards
  • Code Review
  • Managing technical aspects of the Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Conducting website performance tests
  • Monitoring live website performance
  • High level of communication between business owners, agency partners, and our Company IT teams
  • Managing and juggling multiple projects at once working cross-functionally across business and IT teams

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering/related field or High School diploma with 10 plus years experience
  • 5+ plus years of working experience in Web Development
  • 3+ years of working experience in WordPress VIP development (multisite, configuration, parent/child themes, plugins, Gutenberg)
  • Familiar with important WordPress security concepts
  • Optimizing sites for performance
  • Effective time management and teamwork
  • Process-oriented, pro-active, and multi-tasking
  • Great communication skills, including writing skills
  • Curiosity and the desire to learn
  • Agile and growth mindset
