Job Description

 

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. However, subject to applicable law, employees working in roles that the Company determines require routine collaboration with external stakeholders, such as employees in health services, customer facing commercial, or research based roles, will be required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment.

 

The Senior Specialist, US Channel Business Capabilities is a key role within our US Strategy and Business Channels organization.   The scope of this role is to partner with US commercial leaders and the business by assisting in  the development and execution of long-term and short-term business strategies in the channel,  managing channel partner contracts and communicating with our internal stakeholders with the goal to strengthen our channel partner satisfaction.  This field based role reports to the Director, Channel Operations. 

 
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  •  Supports strategic discussions with US commercial and channel leaders.
  • Partners with US legal department to develop and execute channel partner agreements by a deadline.
  • Assists in the development of long-term and short-term business strategies in the channel in collaboration with the Channel Account Managers, the Channel Marketing Specialist,  and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of these objectives.
  • Assist in executing opportunities with our channel partners and defining key actions required to accelerate sales.
  • Ability to learn and utilize MAH operating systems effectively, such as sales dashboards, contract managements system, and inventory monitoring platform.
  • Define, track metrics and develop processes to improve channel partner performance and develop a regular cadence of communicating these key metrics and measuring contract compliance.
  • Accurately track and monitor performance against established standards and key performance indicators, addressing escalated issues and working with Management by taking recommendations and suggestions to improve performance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  •  Provide weekly reports and implement feedback in a timely and quality fashion.
  • Work closely with species and business function leads to identify operational effectiveness with channel partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams concurrently.

 

Education Minimum Requirement: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in distributor/channel management, sales marketing or other related area preferably with animal health industry

  • Strong customer management, influencing and problem solving capabilities 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent financial/business acumen, analytical and critical thinking and skills
  • High energy, positive thinker, collaborator, and detail oriented
  • Exhibits strong emotional intelligence, integrity and trustworthiness 
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple channel partners, each with independent issues and timelines
