Senior Field Operations Specialist 

 

The location for this position can be in our St. Louis/Creve Coeur office or at one of our select Row Crops Production sites.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Field Operations Specialist, are to:

 

  • Provide concise data reports and visualizations to assist with the decision-making of row crop field production;
  • Identify correlations and patterns in complicated data sets using multiple variables (planting and harvest dates, weather events, spray applications, geography, disease pressure, etc);
  • Balance existing biases using change management techniques to move the organization towards more data driven decision making;
  • Recommend proper field data collection policies and procedures to improve data governance and quality;
  • Partner with remote field team members to understand field production performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  • Automate leadership dashboards to promote timely visualization of field performance and production status;
  • Document field production information flows and drive system related best practice sharing within field team;
  • Be resourceful in finding creative ways to utilize digital systems and data analytics to solve field production problems;
  • Optimize processes and procedures (those within North America Row Crop Production) for field digital systems support to improve response time and user satisfaction;
  • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to provide feedback on existing digital field systems;
  • Take ownership of rolling out new functionalities and systems to our field team;
  • Be responsible for field digital system training content and training delivery within North America Row Crop Production.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our life values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Row crop field manufacturing operations experience;
  • A minimum of eight years of work-related row crop field production and/or data analytics experience;
  • Ability to influence across diverse stakeholder groups to enable outcomes;
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Analytical problem solving with large amounts of data;
  • Effective communicator using reports or data visualization;
  • Strong understanding of database theory and architecture;
  • Comprehension of statistical and analytical models;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP; 
  • Required: Valid Drivers License. In order to be eligible to drive a
    company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the
    company s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers MVR will be reviewed as
    part of pre employment screening.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Advance Degree;
  • High competency in TIBCO Spotfire.

 

Domestic Relocation may be available for this position.
