Senior Computer Vision Systems Engineer on our Global Product Biology team, which is part of the R&D organization responsible for the development of new Crop Protection CP solutions for growers worldwide.

 

Role Purpose

    A key member of a fast-paced, multi-functional team directly embedded with the organizational customers Design and implement systems and algorithms for Digital Biological Assessments to support our data-driven Crop Protection Product Development strategy globally Build computer vision and artificial intelligence systems that automate measurement and understanding of plants, pests, and products in the field Build imaging data collection hardware systems from handheld to UAV to extend our sensing capabilities Scale your work across petabytes of remote and proximally sensed imagery and geospatial data from every corner of the planet Drive discovery of internal scientific business needs and deliver imaging-based solutions for Crop Protection development, across product lines and across the globe

Accountabilities

    Write maintainable, reusable code for image analysis and systems integration Build the end-to-end image analysis system from image collection through data output to back-end systems Act as a subject matter expert in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Data and Analysis, Photogrammetry, and design of new imaging systems and capabilities within the Global Product Biology team Develop new full-stack systems for capture, storage, and analysis of images and data Develop, test, and deploy new machine learning models for computer vision applications Develop new image collection systems including sensor and optics selection and basic hardware and supporting electronics design and manufacture Collaborate with external vendors and partners to achieve project objectives

 


Requirements

    Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship from Syngenta Ph.D. is preferred, Minimum Bachelor’s degree with experience 5+ years’ work experience in software engineering, machine learning, or data science. Proficiency with the fundamentals as well as state of the art methods in image analysis, computer vision, and machine learning Strong programming skills in Python

Preferred Requirements

    Experience with photogrammetric processing tools, Agisoft Metashape Experience with machine/deep learning frameworks, Tensorflow, Keras and PyTorch Proficiency with remote sensing, location, mapping, and geospatial data Proficiency with basic electrical system and PCB design, prototyping, and manufacturing Understanding of QGIS, git, and AWS
