Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist in Greensboro, NC.  

 

The primary responsibility will be to provide expert technical direction and problem solving for team members generating analytical data and/or methodology in support of product development, registration, or production efforts, in compliance with all relevant technical, financial, GLP and HSE health, safety, and environment requirements. This may include responsibility for method development and validation, GLP test and reference material characterization, conduct of GLP product chemistry studies, manufacturing, and Pilot Plant support.

 

Accountabilities

    Compliance and Safety: Must be well versed and compliant Lab safety, EPA GLP regulations and department standard operating procedure with a strong sense of compliance culture and individual accountability. Global Analytical Champion: Responsible for solving problems and responding to questions for one or more active ingredients Study director: May monitor studies conducted inhouse or at CRO’s. Active participation in department and functional operations: Engage in teams such as safety, Reach, LC/GC, cross-functional projects with awareness to project timelines and strategy Innovation: Takes initiative on innovation ideas for technology or processes Provide Analytical support in the following areas.

    Formulation:  Analysis of active ingredient and packaging development projects by providing timely and innovative analytical data and methods regionally and globally Supply Chain: Analysis of supply chain samples e.g., Bulk, Residual impurities using robust analytical methods and fast turnaround with reliable data to help solve customer challenges. Registration: Perform Product chemistry studies by providing priority analysis, methodology and expertise to enable product registrations with regulatory authorities around the world. Reference Standard Characterization: Analysis GLP test materials to meet development and production requirements. Unplanned and unexpected: Analysis for nonroutine investigations, such as customer complaints or manufacturing operation challenges.      Knowledgeable of, and compliant with, EPA GLP regulations and department standard operating procedures. May be required to provide analytical support for nonroutine investigations, such as customer complaints or manufacturing operation issues. Fully engaged in PT&E cross functional project teams. Must be aware of project timelines and overall strategy.


Requirements

    Must be Authorized to work in the U.S. A degree in chemistry or related scientific field, PhD in chemistry preferred. Strong practical and theoretical expertise in separation techniques Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills. Flexibility and adaptability to change and adjust to business needs
