Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking a Sr. Analytical Chemist in Greensboro, NC.  

 

Accountabilities:

    Support formulation, active ingredient, and packaging development projects by providing timely and innovative analytical data and methods. Conduct product chemistry studies that meet worldwide regulatory requirements, to enable product registration. Provide analytical support to the supply chain through reliable data, efficient analytical methods and effective problem solving. Characterize analytical reference standards and GLP test materials to meet development and production requirements. Support our registrations by providing priority analysis, methodology and expertise to regulatory authorities around the world. May serve as Global Analytical Champion for one or more active ingredients Must be fully knowledgeable of, and compliant with, EPA GLP regulations and department standard operating procedures. May serve as a study director, or a study monitor for studies conducted at CRO’s. The primary techniques used in this role are liquid chromatography LC, gas chromatography GC, ion chromatography IC and possibly LC-Mass Spectrometry LC-MS, and GC-MS May serve as global analytical champion for one or more active ingredients


Requirements:

    All applicants must be able to work in the US without sponsorship from Syngenta. PhD or MS degree with 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry, or a related field of study; Significant experience with separation science techniques, specifically LC and GC Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment such as GLP, GMP or ISO, etc. is desirable. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment and methods Familiarity with method validation procedures, SOPs and EPA GLP Guidelines Familiar with Chromatography Software e.g. Chromeleon Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team setting Demonstrated experience in working effectively as a member of a cross-functional technical team

Preferred Requirements:

    Experience in leading small teams and supervising junior scientists Working in a controlled environment-e.g., GLP, GMP Experience working in a dynamic high performing team
