We’re hiring a Research Associate - Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture!

You Will Be Part of Growing Team 
Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will be involved in all aspects of Canola plant breeding trials throughout southern NSW and work as part of a highly motivated, small team based in Wagga Wagga. Experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential as on the job training would be provided for the right candidate
 

Your Challenge:

• Working with growers to locate field sites 
• Pack, sow, maintain & harvest Canola variety evaluation field and nursery experiments
• Application of agricultural chemicals
• Collection of field data
• Maintaining accurate records
• Operate and maintain a range of small plot research equipment

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need: 
•    Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, science, or related field
•    Current driver’s license and willingness to travel
•    Agronomy experience
•    Operation of agricultural machinery & modern GPS systems
•    Excellent communication and analytical skills
•    Well-developed time management skills
•    Motivated to work as part of a small team, as well as independently
•    Ability to problem solve
