Corteva Agriscience™ is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Facilities and Maintenance team in Waimea, HI. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone in this field. 

Responsibilities:
How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

Facilities - 80% of the time  

  • The main purpose of this portion of the position is to provide a fully functioning facility with adequate working flow to maximize resources
  • Timely response is expected to ensure the center infrastructure is maintained appropriately to ensure adequate functionality all times so far as is reasonably practicable
  • Also to gather data to support site growth and development
  • The facility maintenance manager will provide event cover and a reactive first point of contact for all facility development or maintenance work requests
  • He/She will investigate and resolve situations when appropriate or will escalate to management when necessary
  • This position will also leads Safety, machines and fleet coordination as well as local information technology needs. 

Information Technology - 20% of the time

  •  The main purpose of this position is to keep inventory of all computers, ipads, ipods, scanners, printers or any other equipment needed to run local software.  
  • To support remote, blue tooth or WIFI systems
  • To install and maintain software used for local needs
  • To work in collaboration with DSI personnel and to facilitate training as needed to managers or relevant employees in specific software.

Qualifications


Requirements: What will you bring to the table?

  • Preference is a Bachelors degree, or trade/technical school with equivalent experience 
  • 4 years of experience
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Driver's license
  • Computer literate: Word, Excel, Access, Power Point
  • Ability to communicate clear and on a timely fashion.  
  • Ability to write reports and to manage projects. 
  • Able to work with basic power tools (Drill presses, saws, etc…)
  • Basic knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems - CWORKS
  • A basic understanding of electricity, plumbing, and a mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Plan, Perform, and supervise maintenance activities
  • Maintain equipment replacement schedules
  • Assess risk of contractors’ activities etc
  • Team work oriented, resourceful and to foster collaboration
  • Manage all external contractors.
  • Knowledge in data base and applications; networks, telecom, wireless; software development and management; digital media and visualization; risk management, security info, assurance and compliance.
