To support that challenge, the Marketing & Commercial Team is currently seeking a Regional Veg Seeds Americas Portfolio Manager Cucurbits in Woodland, CA. As a Regional Portfolio Manager Cucurbits Melon Squash Cucumber you will implement the regional crop business strategy for the assigned crop segment. You will link the Global crop strategy with portfolio decisions in target markets supporting end to end sales execution.

 

You will help shape the future of agriculture by:

    Being accountable for the regional portfolio and delivery of the bottom line for the relevant crops and be the regional liaison to Commercial Seeds, R&D and Seeds Operations.

 

Accountabilities

  • Develop the mid to long-term portfolio strategy for the relevant crops across concerned functions R&D, Production Operations and Commercial Seeds
  • Work closely with the team of Product Development Specialists to drive strategic portfolio implementation
  • Prioritize Research & Development resources for the short and mid-term
  • Focus on stage trial advancements via Product Advancement Meeting
  • Leverage the global pipeline into the target markets by leading portfolio decision
  • Oversee the implementation of the crop business strategy across the region
  • Guide end to end management of the Regional Crop Business
  • Lead the development of a robust, competitive, and profitable Cucurbits portfolio


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field is required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Horticulture or Agronomy
  • Vegetable Seeds experience, ideally with experience in the targeted species
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups peers & superiors
  • Strong business & finance acumen
  • Understanding of market dynamics and competitive environment
  • Analytical skills - ability to quickly understand complex situations
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking & guidance pave the path and operational implementation get things done
  • Solid communication & presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel 40-50%
  • Fluent in English, bilingual in Spanish preferred
