Responsible for ensuring all QC functions are performed accurately and efficiently and to Seneca Foodsspecifications thus ensuring finished product quality and integrity.
Responsibilities:
Ensure QC personnel are present and all QC positions are covered. Cover positions for those that are absent.
Monitor all aspects of quality and process control continuously during shift. Help correct or troubleshoot problems.
Evaluate held product to collect data for disposition.
Start up and sanitize each morning during pack.
Train new employees and reacquaint returning seasonal employees.
Hold or segregate non-conforming product and maintain non-conforming production log.
Maintain proper housekeeping.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to read,write, and comprehend instructions. Requires use of judgement to plan, perform and make decisions.
Good communication and organizational skills. Must be multi-task oriented and a self motivated person. Must have leadership qualities.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to work posted shift hours (6days week/12 hour days).
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum one year experience in Quality Control in food processing, or equivalent in education and experience combined
Must have basic knowledge of quality control and thermal process control
Willingness and ability to function in a team environment
