To support that challenge, the SE Production Operations team is currently seeking a Production Technician - Administrator in Glenn, California.  •    To produce a reliable supply of high-quality seed by executing production plant tasks assigned by Plant Management.  •    Organize, perform, and lead in assigned departments to ensure all required processes, procedures and production requirements are met.   •    Position will take on several roles based upon field production practices, plant processing requirements and distribution needs.   •    Assist in field operations, seed receiving, and conditioning equipment operations to ensure that all seed is properly handled and conditioned so the highest quality seed will be packaged to meet sale demands.

Accountabilities   •    Foster an operational culture founded on adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines •    Monitor costs as necessary •    Perform other duties as required to meet plant or site needs •    Actively support an image that reflects the highest regard for cleanliness and organization •    Balance KPI’s to meet the annual site improvement objectives •    Screen and direct incoming calls and correspondence, and responding independently when possible  •    General administrative support including filing, records disposition, and special projects  •    Preparation of correspondence, reports, graphic presentation, and other material for meetings  •    Complete applications for field inspections with local agencies •    Reconcile completed plant process work orders and good receipt inventory in SAP •    Update Excel spreadsheets with accurate harvest and plant processing information •    Complete SAP transactions for harvest process and reconcile inventory •    Receive trucks to load for outbound shipments and create accurate Bill of Ladings and other export documents •    Providing first line contact with seed industry personnel, company executives, Syngenta leadership, employees, vendor services, and the public •    Develop and meet annual priorities as defined by individual and site leadership   

Requirements  •    High School Diploma or equivalent  •    Minimum two 2 years administrative/clerical experience preferred •    Knowledge of office functions and processes. Including MS Office, MS Databases and Spreadsheets •    Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Concur and appropriate transactions preferred not required •    Proofreading skills  •    Strong interpersonal skills  •    Ability to manage confidential information  •    Team Oriented – foster and maintain an attitude promoting a team culture and atmosphere  •    Excellent organization skills  •    Trusted – make sound judgment calls in the best interest of the company  •    Detail Oriented – data entry into management systems must be accurate  •    Customer Focused  •    Results Oriented – self-motivated to meet personal and company priorities  •    Individual must be authorized to work in the United States for Syngenta without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

  Critical Success Factors & Key Challenges: •    Development and execution of processing plans required to meet key business strategies and product availability requirements •    Proactive communication both interdepartmentally and cross functionally to assure that field and processing efforts are performed in a manner consistent with accommodating business demands and requirements •    A proactive response when seed is not meeting approved Product Specifications standards •    Diligent continuous improvement processing efforts with accompanying employee motivations •    Timely execution and provisions of informational requirements •    Adherence to Lean principles and ways of working •    Strict adherence to HSE protocols and all corporate policies and processes •    Excellent communication skills to work well with co-workers on plant processes •    Ability to make timely, effective decisions •    Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests due to change in schedule  •    Detail/Accuracy Oriented - All procedures and policies must be understood and followed.
