Job Description

 

Our manufacturing operations teams are the people who make our products. We work in manufacturing plants with the principle of "safety first, quality always" and strive for continuous improvement. We work in the local factory connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.

 

Production operator

Position located in: Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec

Shift: evening and night available

 

Job Description :

  • Understand and comply with company procedures regarding health, safety and the environment.
  • Use a laser, laser/inkjet, or electronic identification marking station to mark livestock identification tags according to standard operating procedure.
  • Train new employees in a buddy system to perform tasks at all levels below the level for which the laser operator has been qualified.
  • Perform the marking of livestock identification tags that meet engineering and customer needs.
  • Monitor and take prompt action, including temporary workstation shutdown, when operational malfunctions are observed that could compromise the quality of labels produced. When the workstation is shut down, take prompt action to get help to correct the malfunction and get the workstation back up and running as soon as possible.
  • Be able to maintain a necessary and acceptable daily production as established according to the task performed and the machine used.

 

Candidate prerequisite:

Experience using a desktop computer, including the ability to operate a mouse and extract a file and demonstrate the ability to learn new basic computer skills.
Mastery of basic math skills such as counting, processing numbers, adding and subtracting.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
