An IT Product Line Architect (PLA) acts as a coordinator of architecture design, technical strategy, and operational standards across the Product Line in the LATAM region.  The PLA has additional duties to set, aid and guide as a member of Corteva Enterprise Architecture and serves as their Product Line’s liaison to EA. A PLA fosters productive teams, standard and compliant solutions, and innovation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Owns the LATAM Product Line solutions and technology “tool kit”  

  • Engages with the LATAM Business Technology Solutions Leader, LATAM IT Product Owner, and the LATAM IT Business Relationship Managers on new demand request reviews, technical solutions/evaluations and POC needs for the product line 

  • Leads planning and execution of technical lifecycle within the Product Line with LATAM IT Product Owner and Products’ Architects 

  • Escalates issues and resolves organizational or technical problems as needed for the Product Line 

  • Mentors Product Family Architects and Solution Architects 

  • Maintains consistency of architectural principles across systems and applications by working with PFAs, SAs and ITPOs 

  • As a member of EA, supports broader architecture governance including EA standard creation, modification, and regulation  

  • Ensures alignment of product roadmaps through PFAs and SAs; includes alignment with technology roadmap and product family/line folios 

  • Sets high level technical architecture for product line solutions and aids in determining when deviation is required 

  • Advises Product Line on required or recommended Technical Excellence work 

  • Champions improvements of architecture, engineering, and technical practices 

  • Participates in EA community for solution review and guidance across all Product Lines 

  • Engages with teams and vendors on solution evaluations (SaaS and non-SaaS) and purchase recommendations 

  • Enables product line teams by guiding new solutions (purchased and developed) for the Product Line PFAs and SAs through EA, Privacy, and Security reviews 

  • Works on behalf of Corteva Security organization to drive new process and standards into the Product Line 

  • Works with PFAs and SAs to optimize and standardize the Product Line tools and technologies based on info from EA in the tech radar and enterprise architecture lifecycle 

  • Brings ideas from other EA, Product Lines, and industry to the PFAs and SAs for evaluation and implementation 

  • Works with peers and IT management to develop and maintain policies, standards, guidelines (guiding principles), reference architectures / patterns, decision frameworks and metrics to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company

Qualifications


  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 

  • 10+ years of IT and business experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility 

  • 3+ working experience as lead technologist in complex business and technology environment providing governance to several developer teams  

  • Experience to work in multinational companies with people from diversified culture and background inside and outside of Europe 

  • Excellent communication skills in English both on verbal and written including presenting 

  • Deep knowledge of Cloud (Azure, AWS, SalesForce) and hybrid cloud solutions 

  • Proven track record of delivering high impact business solutions
