Plant Manager DSIDA 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Plant Manager DSIDA, are to:   

 

  • Provide leadership and technical oversight for the DSIDA plant at the Luling site;
  • Responsible for the personal development and mentoring of production along with maintenance engineers, first line leadership, and operations personnel within the DSIDA plant;
  • Enhance team members performances and developments by properly coaching;
  • Create and execute career development, succession and progression plans accordingly;
  • Effectively network with other leaders to identify, share, and implement best practices that are agreed upon for the benefit of the business and site;
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements as well as identify and promote continuous improvement in these areas;
  • Manage cost performance for the DSIDA plant;
  • Identify and implement improvements to deliver cost reductions;
  • Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met;
  • Partner across the site to engage, develop, and retain employees;
  • Maintain operating and organizational policies and procedures for responsible areas;
  • Embrace change initiatives and positively lead the organization through the modification;
  • Utilize technical knowledge to expediently diagnose and solve problems to ensure delivery;
  • Serve as the key conduit between planning and production, ensuring coordination and achievement of delivery targets;
  • Develop and drive plant continuous improvement efforts including oversight of plant’s annual capital budget and Long-Range Planning (LRP);

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values.  More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: 

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent degree;
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience and 2+ years of people leadership experience preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership ability including, people, Contract or project management;
  • Exhibit integrity, ensuring freedom to operate;
  • Promote flexibility to meet business objectives;
  • Identify, manage, and champion change.
