YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, North America Regulatory Affairs Crop Protection Regulatory Divestment Expert, are to: 

 

  • Demonstrate leadership in developing, aligning, communicating, and implementing the internal regulatory divestment strategy for high value asset divestments;
  • Lead due diligence and divestment activities for NA (North America) RA (Regulatory Science), including pre and post-closing activities to fulfill all legal, regulatory, and timeline requirements;
  • Partner closely with RS NA CP (Crop Protection) leadership, key stakeholders and Global Regulatory Managers;
  • Advocate for NA perspective in building a harmonized approach to the preparation and negotiation phases (pre-closing), such as scoping, compiling required documentation, verifying registration statuses, developing transfer plans for registration data, and contributing expertise, examples and metrics to regulatory discussions in negotiations with 3rd parties;
  • Lead the post-closing phases of divestments by acting as the NA regulatory representative to the internal team managing inquiries from the acquirers; and coordinates NA RS expert support including the organization of knowledge transfer;
  • Lead external consultant(s) supporting RA divestment deliverables to ensure efficient use of resources, compliance, and timely regulatory approvals;
  • Ensure the smooth execution of assigned projects by partnering closely with involved stakeholders, driving for results, and ensuring compliance standards are respected throughout the divestment process;
  • Ensure stakeholders and NA RS leadership are well informed of divestment milestones, including supporting further information sharing to their teams.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree with at least eight years of relevant minimum experience; OR
  • Master's degree with at least six years of relevant minimum experience; OR
  • Ph.D. with at least four years of relevant minimum experience;
  • Profound knowledge of regulatory requirements and good level of knowledge and understanding in agronomic industry business and competitive landscape;
  • Profound experience leading and managing projects, including highly complex, international multifunctional projects and teams;
  • High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex topics and tasks;
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence/persuade and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to manage and resolve conflicts and escalate where needed;
  • Ability to contribute to organizational regulatory compliance as required, and/or exhibit leadership in regulatory compliance efforts;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and multi-functional environment, both as a leader and an active contributor;
  • Exemplary execution skills, acting in a pragmatic manner, adapting quickly to rapidly changing environments both internally and externally, meeting extremely tight and dynamic timelines without sacrificing quality;
  • Ability to act efficiently investing resources that are fit for purpose to the objective and optimize the involvement of internal company resources;
  • Very good English skills both written and spoken.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Preferably several years of experience in the regulatory area;
  • Preferably experience in crop protection/biologics, either in project management and/or business management functions and/or divestments.

 

Relocation may be offered for this role.
