North America Quality Testing Data Solutions Lead 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, North America Quality Testing Data Solutions Lead, are to:

• Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data driven solutions to deliver key business objectives;
• Collaborate with scientists, software/data engineering leads and data science leads to drive Quality Testing improvements;
• Collaborate with data analysts and statistical scientists to complete data analytics projects by providing database and digital data solutions;
• Act as a key Quality Testing (QT) domain expert for IT systems articulating value drivers for business and QT requirements, representing QT in the relationship with IT;
• Implement database and data solution best practices across North America (NA) and Global testing platforms;
• Lead and drive cross functional relationships with the business and effectively network within the Data Science Community;
• Engage with business and scientific partners to drive supply critical regional tools impacting the broader Product Supply organizations;
• Use data solutions to present compelling, validated stories to all levels of organization, including peers, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders to drive both strategic and operational changes in business;
• Construct data visuals to identify cost, productivity, delivery, safety, and quality opportunities;
• Leverage lean principles to optimize manufacturing processes using data driven solutions;
• Interpret and effectively communicate between key business stakeholders, Quality Testing labs and IT to enable broad and linked data driven business solutions;
• Effectively handoff digital data solutions and visualizations to lab and stakeholder partners and provide mentoring for solution maintenance.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our life values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with at least six years of experience within computer science, seed manufacturing or seed quality testing
• Two years using relational database concepts with a working knowledge of SQL;
• Broad Global Quality Testing domain expertise across Physiology, Genetic Testing and Seed Health platforms;
• Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data;
• Expertise with laboratory data systems, Spotfire or other data tools with experience building visualizations that have provided meaningful business impact;
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, quality assurance and laboratory processes;
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actionable manner;
• Results oriented; thrive working in team environments;
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
• Demonstrate strong evidence of technical achievements and advancement within specific technical career paths and disciplines;
• Travel approximately 15% within North America region.
