To support that challenge, the Global Procurement team is currently seeking a North American Procurement Business Process Consultant BPC to manage Procurement business processes across Procurement platforms for US & Canada.

 

This position reports into the Global Procurement Business Process owner within Syngenta Procurement Operations and will be part of Procurement Business Process management team. 

 

Selected candidate will be based out of the Syngenta office in Greensboro, NC on a flexible schedule with 10% travel on a need basis.  Highly qualified candidates in the surrounding area will also be considered.

 


Responsibilities

    Procurement Subject Matter Expert or Regional Procurement stream lead of major projects and initiatives to deliver improvements towards best-in-class process & technology implementation Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/ automation efforts Leading process redesign & change management workshops Facilitate process workflow modelling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes is achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed upon service levels Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns and identify improvement opportunities Maintain a complete understanding of design processes adhering to Procurement policies  Act as the interface between IT, business users and business support teams Requirement gathering from countries on new requirements or changes in the existing setup Drive solution design to facilitate new requirements including system configuration Mapping and creation of all relevant documentations such as Business requirements specifications, Operating manuals, training documents and knowledge articles for Procurement function Assess change requests for new requirements based on business case and securing the approval from relevant change approval boards Coordinating with respective stakeholders and 3rd party technical service providers for implementing the changes and leading user acceptance testing Support the Procurement Operations leadership in the capacity of SME for future releases in Procurement platforms and small changes Engage and influence key stakeholders Facilitate process workflow modelling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases Track major incident management process and ensure adherence of the process and escalation requirements within the various support and delivery areas Procurement focal point for internal & external audit initiatives in the region Identify continuous improvement opportunities Support assigned business process areas in developing the strategic direction and establishing a transformation roadmap to reach the strategic objectives Collaborate with Procurement BPC’s in other regions and leverage and participate in process communities

 

Requisite skills and experience:

    Degree and 4 to 8 years related experience. Deep expertise in designing Procurement processes Strong knowledge of BPMN framework and Operational excellence methodologies In-depth understanding and knowledge of SAP materials management MM module with focus on procurement and supplier data management Experience in a Global organization with knowledge in SAP Ariba Procure to Order platform across Ariba downstream modules Ariba Guided Buying, Ariba network and upstream modules SLP, Sourcing and contracting Expertise in business process management and value stream mapping. Know-how about PMI/Waterfall, Hybrid project delivery, Agile & Operational Excellence is a plus Ability to work independently as well as lead and participate in a matrix organization Intellectual curiosity and professional commitment to excellence Attention to detail, sense of urgency, work ethic Excellent organizational and time management skills Outstanding communication and presentation skills Critical thinker Creative problem solver Great analytical skills Data-driven approach
