About Us
Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking a Technical Expert 2 in Greensboro, NC.
In this role, you will provide analytical expertise and support within Product Metabolism and Analytical Sciences PMAS, across Product Safety, and externally to CROs and support techno-regulatory analytical methods to the regulatory community globally.
Accountabilities
Interact with the Technical Service Group to provide timely analytical results for samples submitted by customers Develop fit-for-purpose analytical methods in raw and processed crop commodities, soil, water, body fluids, tissues, air, and operator exposure studies which will be used globally in GLP residue analyses primarily in support of the Environmental Safety and Operator and Consumer Safety platforms Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of relevant global regulatory guidance documents and the regulatory environment Demonstrate an expert working knowledge of quantitative analytical instrumentation Manage residue method development studies placed at external CROs to ensure delivery of quality data on an appropriate timeline at a reasonable cost Independently provide expert technical assistance to internal and external customers, and where appropriate, facilitate the transfer of technical know-how Identify opportunities for improvement in operational/delivery processes and lead or contribute to the delivery of these improvements
Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry - or analytical chemistry-based discipline At least three years experience of working in an analytical laboratory Experience in quantitative residue analysis in the environmental fate or dietary safety disciplines A strong laboratory oriented, analytical background, preferably with experience related to quantitative LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and general trace level analyses Experience in sample processing and clean-up techniques such as solid phase extraction Able to interpret data and draw appropriate conclusions to facilitate problem-solving Develops effective working relationships and networks across Product Safety and Crop Protection Research & Development
