Responsible for all electrical maintenance and repair on labeling/packaging equipment.
Perform other equipment maintenance as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical related problems on Case & Label machines.
Analyze and diagnose electrical control circuits and motor power circuits.
Stay current on electrical codes and OSHA regulations.
Adjust or repair equipment as needed for efficient operation.
Ensure safety rules and regulations are being followed.
Complete preventative maintenance and PM surveys as scheduled.
Assist with the supervision and training of new machine operators.
Complete line changovers and shift start-ups in a timely manner.
Fabricate replacement parts if necessary.
Qualifications
Some post-high school education or trainingis beneficial.
2-3 year certificate from college/ techncial school preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Good maintenance skills including use of hand tools, power tools, welder, cutting torch, pneumatics, & hydraulics.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally with management and with fellow employees.
Must have the ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull varying weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes in awkward positions,
The job requires extensive walking, climbing, and some crawling.
Able to use laptop computer for PLC diagnostics.
Basic knowledge of lathe and shop fabricating equipment.
