As Global Business Platform Advocacy Manager you will be responsible for:
The position holder design implements advocacy strategies to support Corteva business objectives and crop protection portfolio by securing existing approvals, ensuring timely approvals of new products, and promoting a favorable policy and regulatory environment and technology acceptance for our products. The position coordinates efforts across internal functions: Business Portfolio & Marketing Managers, Regulatory Managers, Government & Industry Affairs Leaders, Food and Value Chain Leaders, Communications, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, lead and coordinate product advocacy plans via cross-functional advocacy teams including global & regional teams
Regularly liaise with all relevant internal stakeholders on product advocacy dossiers
Engage externally with all relevant external stakeholders to support advocacy objectives and maintain strategic relationships
Manage relationship and engagement with specified hired contracts for advocacy assistance
Provide political insights and expertise and internally communicate analysis of policy and regulatory developments relevant to the current and future success of company’s portfolio
Identify roadblocks for the business and develop a plan to manage said roadblocks
Solution finder for unknown/unplanned issues management. Create task force teams with a set timeline to overcome significant business hurdles.
Lead policy task force for products at the brand or molecule level
Identify and execute process improvements for reduced friction in issues management and increased solutions.
Create opportunities to remove regulatory and/or policy hurdles that limit the full stewarded utilization of the Corteva Crop Protection Portfolio.

Qualifications
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
Masters Degree (MBA or M.Sc,) with minimum of 7/10+ years experience in agriculture related industry sectors

Negotiation mindset (Develop convincing narrative and approaches)
Writing skills (positioning paper...)
Extensive knowledge of business process, product positioning, and competitive landscape
Collaboration partner across multiple functions
Experienced crisis management leader
Ability to analyze, assess, critically evaluate and advise diverse commercial and R&D audiences on local advocacy options to meet objectives
Demonstrated competency and ability to understand, distill, assimilate and communicate complex information and conclusions to diverse external audiences
Demonstrated experience and know-how in working with government policymakers to advocate policies and positions
Ability to work with and effectively lead coalitions to achieve timely results
Strong communication and public speaking skills a must--job entails communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders (executive leadership, commercial organization, Legal, Public Affairs, Government Relations, key value chain customers, government policymakers and regulators, community relations and members of the public)
Candidate must have the ability to effectively prioritize competing needs, then synthesize complex issues into clear and tangible work plans
Candidate must be a self-starter with a bias for action who thrives on successfully working through challenging opportunities and issues to meet time-sensitive objectives and deadlines
The position will require travel (domestic and International) and will vary in intensity throughout the year (<25%)
