Field Innovation Regional Data Science Lead 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Field Innovation Regional Data Science Lead, are to:

• Support the Global Market Development field operations through premium protocol template design and data stewardship;
• Develop experiments to be digitally delivered and collected to enable multi data point analysis;
• Align DFS and Research and Development (R&D) analysis with high-definition customer field and product information;
• Create and drive customer value through UAV strategy and yield monitor data;
• Construct metric-based plans for experimental design
• Achieve Market Development (MD) goals within the region, Marketing, and Climate leads;
• Build cross functional relationships by collaborating with the business and effectively network within the Data Science Community;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and generate insights for customer field data collection needs;
• Identify environmental and imagery data layers for MD;
• Develop value proposals for products and services while field trialing protocols.

Required qualifications:

• Master’s of Science with two years of post-degree work experience;
• Influence activities of non-reporting cross functional and cross geographical teams;
• Demonstrate strategic focus and implement innovative solutions;
• Strong results orientation;
• Superb communication competencies to include presentations;
• Deliver complex quantitative analyses in a clear, concise and actionable manner to teams and key stakeholders;
• Ability to identify and satisfy customer needs;
• Continuously search for ways to provide value added solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Agricultural or Physical Science or related field paired with experience in data science and information technology or PhD in Computer Science, High Dimensional Statistics, Applied Math or other computationally intensive research with experience working with agriculture or agricultural data;
• Field testing or protocol development experience and project management skills.
