Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technologist for our maintenance department in Midland, MI.
This role will support the execution of maintenance repair and reliability efforts within our chemical manufacturing environment while working with a diverse team including maintenance crafts, Reliability Engineers, and plant personnel focused on improving the reliability of the plant assets. This individual will provide technical expertise which may be equipment-based or repair techniques based.

Responsibilities – What You Will Do:
How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!
- Provide technical expertise on troubleshooting, failures, repairs, root cause investigations and help evaluate whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
- Ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. are provided and documented.
- Create/update repair procedures as well as operating discipline and procedures.
- Create/implement Equipment Maintenance Strategies and associated service schedules.
- Provide input on repair techniques, proper parts selection, obtaining proper parts, and use of the correct piping specification components.
- Work with equipment vendors to complete failure analysis and obtain quotes on replacement equipment.
- Ensure equipment specific training and instructions are documented and made available.
- Provide maintenance input to Global Project Methodology (GPM) activities.
- Review spare parts list for existing equipment and ensure spare parts are identified and stocked in MRO.
- Create and review existing BOMs.
- Ensure accuracy of data contained in the electronic maintenance management system.
- Enter positive, constructive feedback on contract service providers into the reporting system.
- Participate in developing the maintenance budget.
- Serves as a technical resource to the work planner on work packages.
- Provide input on development of work orders and job plans, particularly on critical equipment.
- Assist with generating turnaround work inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- You have your High School Diploma/GED.
- You have experience with maintaining/repairing chemical processing or other industrial equipment.
- You have a valid US drivers license so that you are able to drive on company business as needed.

- You are experienced in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- You have good verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.

- You have proven leadership skills; can inspire others and lead them through influence.
- You are a self-starter who can identify and prioritize tasks.
- You are able to work both independently and in a team environment with limited supervision.
- You are willing and able to work a primarily daytime schedule with on call rotation and overtime hours including weekend support when needed for plant outages and unplanned events.
Preferences – It Would Be Great If You Have:
- Associate’s degree.
- 4+ years military experience.
