Description
The Supply Chain team works with a network of internal and external production locations, public warehouses and terminals and carriers to deliver a significant number of shipments per year of highly regulated Crop Production products. The Distribution Compliance Leader provides and sustains global expertise and defines the level of local implementation resources needed to achieve the Supply Chain global Compliance and Quality objectives. Coordinates with the Global Distribution team to ensure local and global expertise, training, Work Process Documentation, Internal Audits, Third Party Audits, Performance Tracking and Root Cause Investigations processes are in place. Provide leadership, support, coaching and guidance to the regional and global networks who are responsible to implement and execute operationally within to the organization.
The Distribution Compliance Specialist ensure compliance on all supply chain distribution transactions and leads the business in the appropriate use of the various Compliance and Quality tools (i.e., Business Risk Reviews, Unplanned Event Reporting, SAP and GTS, etc.) to identify and manage risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Internal Integrated Audit – Support the EHS&S internal audit process as needed (i.e., selecting qualified internal DS auditors, Assist with DS Audit documents);
- LSP Qualifications/Audits – Consult with procurement on qualifications for new Crop and Seeds LSPs per DS&S Minimum Requirements; conduct periodic assessments of LSPs against local protocols and specific modal requirements; track when LSP assessments are due, scheduled, and completed; provide summary of assessments to DSS Team at Monthly Meetings.
- DS&S Standards – Implement and execute the new Corteva Standards and policies related to distribution compliance
- Distribution Incident Reporting – Support global team on incident tracking and investigation, as a member of global distribution compliance network.
- Root Cause Investigations – Support distribution RCIs and action plans for country/region as needed. Analyzes and interprets data and shares appropriately with leaders and key stakeholders. Analyzes UPE (Un-Planned Events) in their correspondent country/region to identify any trends related to Distribution Safety & Security and reviews with Global Risk Manager and Logistics Teams to determine follow-up and corrective actions to be taken. Ensure effectiveness of action plans and track incident action items to make sure there are no overdues in his/her region of responsibility.
- Distribution Emergency Response Support – will be informed of any distribution emergencies, shipment disruptions (i.e., damaged goods, load securement, regulatory compliance issue, etc.), and may be needed for information collecting and follow up for supply chain
- Training & Communications – Provide relevant training and communication as needed to the local supply chain team
- Distribution Risk Reviews – conduct/facilitate the DRR’s in the relevant region/country
- Regulatory Transport Support – Subject Matter Expert on applicable transport regulations. Provide advice regarding local transportation regulations and DG classification matters as needed.
- Global Network Meetings – Participate in global distribution safety network meetings

Qualifications
Requirements - What expertise have you grown?
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related EH&S degree is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics with direct responsibility in Distribution Safety.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as part of a Supply Chain Team – with responsibility in Logistics (Distribution and or warehousing).
- Preferable experience with Crop Protection products and expertise with requirements related to transportation and storage.
- Strong prior experience and skills set with auditing, training, transportation, and root cause analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skill with the ability to positively influence and garner support.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English
