Job Description

 

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere. 

 

Position Description:

The Director, Livestock Key Account Management Latin American (LATAM DKAL) is responsible for implementing our company's Animal Health (MAH) Livestock global strategy with Global Key Strategic Business Stakeholders based in the Latin American (LATAM) Region.

 

Additionally, the DKAL is responsible for promoting and supporting the Livestock (multi-species) implementation and execution of the industry key stakeholder engagement model with regional and local key accounts by supporting training and tool implementation. Working together with the Global Species groups and commercial regions where potential Stakeholders are located, the DKAL will lead the implementation strategy, deepen relationships with the key decision makers, provide guidance in developing and implementing short and long-term plans to enhance our image as a trustworthy business partner, while maximizing our sales and share of wallet with these accounts.

 

Specific responsibilities of the DKAL include:

  • Implement Global Marketing strategy with Strategic Business Stakeholders
  • Identify, in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, regional and local strategic partners to be supported with the Key Account Relationship (KAR) Team Model
  • Deploy the multi-species industry key stakeholder model to regional operations by leading the training of, and support implementation of the key account tools and in particular our global CRM tool and its key account capabilities
  • Assist regional operations in selecting key accounts, identifying business opportunities and investments to demonstrate the value of the Customer - our company's partnership
  • Support internal stakeholders to analyze the effectiveness of the KAR Team Model
  • Support the identification of skills and talents that make for successful Key Strategic Business Stakeholders

Education Minimum Requirement: 

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Marketing, Sales and/or Business Management or other Animal Science related degree.

 

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in sales or marketing of animal health products in multicultural / multinational environment or equivalent experience in the area of key accounts - training, strategy development and execution in alternate, relevant industries
  • Transformational leadership skills - willingness to challenge the status quo, innovate and implement positive change, highly innovative risk taker
  • Proven track record of successfully managing, leading, coaching, and developing the effectiveness and performance of teams and organizations
  • Engaging and motivating leadership style to influence & collaborate with cross-functional teams and all business units including Regulatory, Legal & R&D
  • Business skills such as strategic and innovative international marketing and business development
  • Proven success in account management and/or scientific consultation experience.
  • Superior communication skills to effectively interact with individuals located in all parts of the globe.
  • Highly effective negotiation and commercial skills to guide teams to identify and close sales opportunities, focused on complex, large scale negotiations
  • Comprehend and implement value selling, extended product offering to conventional and innovative services
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of market access including understanding market influences & trends
