Accountabilities:

Responsible for the overall architecture, design and development of data-focused solutions to help Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. Works closely with internal business users and business analysts to define and develop requirements based on Business Intelligence and Data Analysts’ needs. Designs, develops, and implements data models. Translates business requirements into technical specifications. Oversees ETL technical development, with hands-on development required as needed. Designs and leads in-depth unit testing for all enhancements and new development. Develops key performance indicators or metrics for business and ensures integrity of data. Performs data analysis for verification of accuracy and performance tuning to optimize execution. Delivers solutions to complex problems and client requests that require an in-depth evaluation of various factors by selecting appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining the desired technical results. Works as a mentor for other junior members of the team in developing solutions to meet and exceed client needs. May telecommute from any location in the United States. Domestic travel required up to 10% of the time for meetings with business and IT teams. Supervise between 2-6 subordinate and peer IT professionals onsite and offshore, with room for growth, including IT Analysts, BI Analysts, and Data Engineers.

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications Engineering, Computer Technology, Advanced Communication Systems, or a related field and 5 years related progressive, post-baccalaureate data analytics experience. The 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate data experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: 1 Gathering business requirements from customers and converting business requirements into functional and technical specifications. 2 Working with business and technical teams to deliver quality data warehouse and business intelligence solution. 3 Designing and Developing ETL and BI Products and implementing them in Production. Coordinating UAT with Business Users. 4 Leading developers to implement ETL / BI Code. 5 Supervising team members onsite and offshore. Must also have experience in Datastage, Teradata, SQL Server, and Oracle and tools like Business Objects, Tableau, and Cognos. All experience may be gained concurrently. Must pass a background check and drug test before beginning employment. Full-time, position based at company HQ in Greensboro, NC. May telecommute from any location in the United States.
