We’re hiring for a Country Regulatory Manager at Guyancourt, France - Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture. 

Purpose of the role

Provides registration expertise for crop protection products at country level.  

Your Challenge:

  • Ensure successful product authorizations by preparation and on-time submission of high quality registration dossiers to the regulatory authorities in France
  • Prime contact point and negotiator with regulatory authorities; builds and maintains partnership, negotiates and influences effectively with regulatory authorities, legislative bodies and policy makers (as referred to specific project needs) during first approval, legal right-to-sell and product defence (including food chain and other secondary approvals)
  • Obtains approvals within project milestones
  • Take all necessary actions to ensure relevant stewardship plan are in place to sustain products authorization
  • Ensure compliant labelling, in accordance with regulatory authorisations and local packaging and labelling legislation and manage all aspects of label creation and documentation in internal and external databases.
  • Stays abreast of, provides assessment of and communicates regulatory, legislative and secondary approval developments in own geography, which may impact the project concept or product lines and the ability to maintain commercial freedom to operate; effectively contributes to keep at the highest standard the functional responsiveness to legislative and business changes (as applicable, also through membership in industry associations and initiatives)
  • Expert in the interpretation (technical and political) of regulatory requirements
  • Through effective partnership with Regulatory Team and local cross-functional teams (for both new and existing products), ensures that local regulatory requirements are assessed and incorporated in the project milestones and planning.
  • Critical resource of local cross-functional teams: forms partnership and advocates / facilitates information flow between local team and regional Regulatory Teams to communicate and reinforce the overall regulatory strategy / implications, development of Good Agricultural Practices, regulatory attributes, label development 
  • Work closely with the Regulatory Country Leader and provide clear and regular updates on timelines and dossier status
  • Contributes registration resource requirements to creation of the regulatory workplan
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of European and national legislation and activities which could impact national existing or future approvals of Plant protection products / Biological products. Actively participate to relevant trade associations working groups, to advocate for our future success.

  • Manager: North Europe Commercial Unit Regulatory Leader, UK
  • Local cross-functional teams (including marketing, R&D Integrated Field Sciences, etc.), as critical resource on regulatory matters 
  • Zonal Regulatory Leaders and program networks involved in the development of new products
  • National regulatory authorities
  • Local Industry associations

Qualifications


To Grow What Matters, You Will Need 

  • Master or PhD degree in Agriculture, Plant Protection, or other related Life Sciences discipline. 
  • A minimum of 4 years working in Plant Protection Registration.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Expertise of the registration process for Crop Protection products in France
  • Good language / communication and cross-cultural diversity skills; effective negotiator with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders; effective team player at both national and transnational level (Regulatory Teams are typically transnational); communication skills to bring complex technical and political arguments to wide and diverse internal (e.g.: country sales organization) and external audiences. 
  • The candidate must be an empathetic listener with strong customer focus 
  • Good organizational and computer skills
  • The successful candidate will be required to use Excel, Word, and several regulatory systems to gather, analyse, and update data. The necessary training will be given where required.
