Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking a Conversion Enablement Coordinator in Nampa, Idaho.

 

Role Purpose

 

Coordinate Corn Trait Introgression materials and activities for timely execution including tissue culture activities, plant tissue sampling and general crop related activities.  Collaborate with other mangers to deliver R&D corn seeds on a timely fashion.  Support crop cycle data collection and labours hours use optimization.  Also foster continuous operation improvement and good communication among team members.

 

 

Accountabilities

 

•          Supervise a team of technicians and contractors to ensure deliverables and high performance across the crop cycle activities.

•         Provide proper documentation and ensure adequate training to technicians as well as to contribute to update and create protocols.

•         Collect, enter and track key data on process metrics and KPIs, e.g. expected vs actual throughput rates.

•         Assist in daily and/or weekly project tracking and management meetings, including identification, troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems, and implementation of OPEX methodology e.g. visual management boards and tiered meetings.

•         Support Technicians activities on a day to day of the crop cycle like pollination; transplanting; planting; sampling by organizing work instructions and by keeping the right materials accessible to complete the tasks. 

•         Maintain best practice in all operational areas, ensuring seamless track and trace and minimizing errors; coordinate activities with managers and other coordinators to ensure smooth logistics.

•         Perform all tasks in a manner compliant with and in support of all safety and stewardship related company policies and practices, including completing all required training courses

•         Regular and timely ad hoc communication of any issues to the Team Lead and other team members.

•         Communicate effectively and regularly with peers and supervisors regarding operational status of projects and work activities, and supply input needs.

•         Support other Corn TI operational activities and tasks as needed.

 


Requirements

 

•         Minimum HS Diploma + experience; AS or BS degree in Plant Sciences or Biology preferred

•         Basic knowledge of Plant Genetics and Plant Biology

•         Minimum 1 year experience plant sciences and/or greenhouse operations

•         Must have experience working in the R&D seeds industry or agriculture

          Ability to use MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel, and other standard software

          Results oriented and driven to deliver high quality R&D trait conversions seed.

          Good verbal and written communication skills

          Good collaboration Spirit and team oriented

          Ability to effectively organize, manage and assign workload of multiple tasks

 

Preferred Requirements

    Basic Spanish language competency preferred Experience with Trait Introgression preferred Experience supervising greenhouse operational teams preferred Experience working in laboratory setting preferred
