Continuous Improvement Governance and Training Manager

Corteva Agriscience is looking for a Continuous Improvement Governance and Training Manager to join our Crop Protection business. We are looking for that individual who will positively impact our already world class Crop Protection operations.  

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities - How will you help us Grow

  • Key leader for “fit for purpose” and value creation Crop Protection efforts that transform the business to a less complex, data driven end-to-end operating business that adds value to the grower by delivering sustainable solutions.
  • Owner of LSS training materials, defining governance for continuous improvement including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma principles, scrum for the Crop Protection BU.
  • LSS methods Subject Matter Expert demonstrating and coaching utilization of CI methods to solve problems.
  • Evaluate performance and capability of LSS Practitioners, as well as approve certification of LSS Practitioners.
  • Benchmark external resources for transformative CI methodologies, paradigm / mindset shift tools recommending improvements into governance as needed.
  • Provide opportunities for knowledge transfer through events and training and development of others in areas such as operational excellence and productivity improvement methods and techniques.
  • Equip Transformation Project Leaders with tools and methodologies to enable a fit for purpose application for each initiative.
  • Approver of DMAIC and Lean Event gate reviews ensuring rigor in project execution and quality of the projects under their scope of responsibility.
  • Leads LSS improvement projects as needed.

Qualifications


Position Requirements – What you'll bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement including business/operations process analysis, project management, performance benchmarking and change management.
  • At least 3 years of direct training material development and execution.
  • Continuous Improvement including but not limited to six sigma, lean, scrum.
  • International experience / cultural sensitivity is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in fast paced, data driven, high demand environment where change is a component of defining success.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with LSS Practitioners and project teams, as well as key leaders within the BU functions.
  • Writing skills to develop communication materials and report research findings in a compelling way.
  • PC proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on training development and deployment.
  • Strong background in complex project management and CI methods (i.e., LSS),
  • Direct experience in operations and supply chain.
  • Change Management certification.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Master Black Belt preferred.
