We are currently seeking a Commercial Sales Territory Head for the Vegetable Seeds team for the Central America and Andean countries. The position will be located in West Palm Beach, Florida. As a Commercial Sales Territory Head, you will lead the Vegetable business in the designated territory, delivering short and mid-term business targets while building an effective, and sustainable long term, end-to-end business.

 

You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

    Designing and driving the evolution of go-to-market strategies to deliver an effective and efficient business Nurturing key contacts in the Vegetable industry and building relationships with outside bodies that have major influence on Syngenta business and our license to operate Monitoring business performance and adjusting strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and overall business contribution targets

Accountabilities

    Contribute to Global and Regional Vegetable Strategy as well as specific Crop and Customer segment strategies, as a key driver to deliver sustainable long term territory business objectives Actively manage the human capital within the territory to ensure high performing teams, building an effective talent pool for a sustainable future Engage with Syngenta Regional Leadership to ensure effective value adding collaboration across the territories with a focus on overlapping strategies and managing shared resources Ensure Syngenta's full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework as well as Syngenta's own legal and ethics, Health/Safety/Environment team, Corporate Security, Risk Management and Corporate Governance standards Provide overall Business Unit leadership for Vegetable Seeds teams in the territory operating in Research and Development, and Production and Supply Operations Travel ~ 60%

     



Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree MS preferred in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field 10+ years’ experience in Horticulture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or general business Leadership in an International business and team environment Vegetable Seeds background Bilingual: Spanish and English

 

Preferred Requirements

    Understanding of the Food value chain industry, market dynamics, and competitive environment Ability to develop and deliver innovative, entrepreneurial, customer-driven offers Good account management and strong negotiation skills Strong Project Management skills Strong Marketing, Business, and Financial Acumen skills
