Role Summary
Corteva is searching for a Benefits Delivery Analyst 401(k) to join their HR Shared Services Department. The Benefits Delivery Analyst - 401(k) is responsible for the ongoing funding and operational activities of Corteva’s two 401(k) plans. The person in this position must be able to manage multiple tasks, handle changing priorities, deal with highly sensitive information and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners. Previous experience with 401(k) administration, payroll systems and auditing functions is preferred. The person in this position must be very dependable.

Principal Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow! 

Plans Funding

  • Handles 401(k) funding of every bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls, including:
    • Reconcile files from payroll system and vendor system.
    • Research and resolve discrepancies between vendor and payroll contribution amounts.
    • Identify issues outside of the norm and quickly pull in the right resources for review and direction.
    • Issue timely (within 24 hours) wire requests to the finance team.
    • Organize and save all supporting documentation for audit purposes.

Reporting

  • Performs internal audits on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of the retirement plan contributions.
  • Reviews monthly, quarterly and annual vendor reports and respond timely with corrections or research items.
  • Runs monthly delinquency Loan reports and research/resolve any loan payments that were missed or overpaid.

Compliance

  • Assists with annual Form 5500filings and Non-Discrimination Testing.
  • Assist with annual plan audits by internal/external auditors.
  • Follow the procedures in place to process 401(k) related corrections including:
    • Determine the QNEC/correction amounts.
    • Provide detailed explanation on the corrections to the appropriate parties (i.e. Vendor and/or payroll).
    • Draft the communication to the employees.
    • Record the corrections for reconciliation purposes at the end of the plan year.
    • Obtain correction proofs from vendor portal and/or payroll systems as needed
  • Maintains familiarity with Defined Contributions Retirement plan administration practices and legal updates

Additional Operational Support

  • Assist HR Service Center in answering questions from employees, managers or HR about 401(k) related topics.
  • Assists with Employee escalations.
  • Ensures accurate data flow from HR system, Payroll system and Vendor system.
  • Attends company, team and vendor meetings and trainings as required.

Qualifications


Primary Skills & Education - What you'll bring to the table
Education and Knowledge

  • Associate's Degree with 4+ years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with 2 years of experience would be preferred. 

Experience 

  • At least 1 year 401(k) administration experience in a shared services environment.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • ADP Globalview experience preferred but not required.
  • Advanced Excel skills are a definite plus
