Area Sales Manager IV Turf and Ornamental West Region 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a residence based position covering the following territory: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Northern California, and Northern Nevada. Ideal candidate would reside within territory.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Area Sales Manager IV Turf and Ornamental West Region, are to:

• Build & Maintain a relationship with the distribution network in the area;
• Drive the external sales force to create value for range of product, create and monitor
• Key Performance Indicator to focus efforts on Environmental Science priorities;
• Create and present the product line review to the customers in the area;
• Provide high level technical product training and technical support to the key customers and end user's technical management;
• Implement the National & Regional sales policies;
• Create and demand at the end user level, analyze end user area sales monthly and propose market share development plans to management on a quarterly basis;
• Identify and seize new business opportunities;
• Report market evolution and competitor activities;
• Provide bottom up sales forecast and inventory reports to support the production planning;
• Manage expense budget.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our life values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required qualifications:

• Bachelors with ten years of proven sales or equivalent experience in the Green industry;
• Excellent presentation and selling skills, including use of support software;
• High capacity to define priorities and to allocate his/her time resources;
• Good computer skills and the ability to work with MS programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and other database programs;
• Possessing the ability to travel as needed, including approximately 40% to 50% overnight travel.
