YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Application Technology Co-op are to:

• Establish project plans and key milestones;
• Build networks within application technology and field solutions to accomplish project goals;
• Establish testing protocols;
• Collaboratively design and carry out laboratory experiments;
• Conduct independent laboratory experiments where possible;
• Organize, document, and report research outcomes in a timely manner;
• Actively troubleshoot and problem-solve to optimize research procedures;
• Analyze data to draw conclusions and define next steps;
• Understand and follow protocols when working with various pesticides and instrumentation;
• Present project results to leadership team and stakeholder group.

Required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited university located in the U.S. pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Agronomy, Engineering or a related field;
• Knowledge and understanding of analytical chemistry principles and basic data science practices;
• Ability to work safely in the laboratory environment;
• Strong interest in laboratory experimentation and ability to think critically about results and drive future research;
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams;
• Excellent organizational skills and scientific report writing experience.
